VSEVOLOD ANGELOVICH SULIMO-SAMUILLO 1903-1965
Painter, graphic artist, designer. Worked in the fields of theatre scenery, illustrations and graphic art. Studied at the Leningrad industrial art school (1924 - 1926) under P.A.Mansurov, M.P.Bobyshev. Lived in Leningrad. Attended P.N.Filonov's school "Masters of analytical art " (1926-1930). Designed festivals, sports parades, theatre and circus performances (1928 - 1933), expositions of palaces-museums in Pushkin, Pavlovsk, Peterhof (1933 - 1935), the interior of theatres, institutes, sanatoria in different cities of the country. In the 1950s participated in designing of pavilions of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibiton in Moscow and the international exhibition in Brussels. Taught at the staging department of the Leningrad theatre institute named after A.N.Ostrovsky (from 1958).
