REDKO KLIMENT NIKOLAEVICH (1897-1956)
Painter in oils, graphic artist. Studied at the icon-painting school of the Kiev-Pechor Lavra (1910), at the Drawing school of the Society for Promotion of Arts in St. Petersburg (1914-1915) under A.A.Rylov and A.K.Vakhrameev, at the Ukrainian Academy of Arts (1918-1919) under N.G.Burachek, at the State Free Art Workshops in Moscow (1920-1921) under V.V.Kandinsky. Travelled a lot, visited France, Italy. From 1938 - artist of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition. Painted portraits, landscapes, still-lives, genre pictures, subjectless compositions. Draftsman. His early works were influenced by the ideas of supremacism. Avant-gardist. One of the organizers of a group of "projectionists", creator of "electroorganism" movement (1922).
