VASILY DMITRIEVICH YERMILOV (1894-1968)
Painter, graphic artist, designer. Studied at the decorative workshops of Kharkov (1905-06), at the School of Drawing and Painting (1910-11) and E.Shteiberg's and A.Grot's studio in Kharkov, at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Archtecture (1912), at I.Mashkov's, P.Konchalovsky's, G.Gaman's studios.Participant of exhibitions from 1913 ("The Moscow Society of Artists, "The Union of the Seven", etc.). Member of Kharkov futurist group "The Union of the Seven". Chief of the Ukrainian ROSTA Windows (1920), the Central workshop of creativity. Designed holidays in Kharkov (1919-20), executed designs of tribunes, boothes, polygraphic works. Designed agitational train "The Red Ukraine" (1921). Taught at the Art technical school of Kharkov (1922). Member of the Association of Soviet artists of the Ukraine.His works are housed in many museums of the world.
