Museum-gallery "The New Hermitage" has a remarkable collection of graphic works. Some thousands of graphic products executed in pencil, coal, sanguine, indian ink, ink, water colours are housed here. They include sketches for oil paintings and studies for them, illustration cycles, numerous drawings from nature, easel graphic works of all genres: portraits, landscapes, genre scenes. Particularly interesting are preliminary drawings. They constitute a special section, whose careful analysis makes it possible to get into the heart of artists' creative process.
