SERGEI VASILYEVICH KOLTSOV (1892-1951)
Sculptor, graphic artist, painter in oils. Studied at the Stroganov Industrial Art school under N.A. Andreev, T.P.Pashkov and S.N. Noakovsky (1907-17). Koltsov`s heyday was in the 1920-30s. At this time his artistic talent brightly developed . In 1928-30 Koltsov lived in Paris, where exhibited his works in "The Autumnal Salon ", in the "Society of Independent Artists". His graphic works made in indian ink, pencil, stain, sepia and sanguine deserve special appraisal. Koltsov`s obvious talent allowed him not to be lost at the beginning of the XXth century, the time of Russian fine arts heyday, and not to be forgotten nowadays.
