SERGEI VASILYEVICH KOLTSOV (1892-1951)
Sculptor, graphic artist, painter. He studied at the Stroganov Industrial Art school under N.A.Andreev, T.P.Pashkov and S.N. Noakovsky (1907-1917). The 1920-30s were the heyday of S. Koltsov. At this time his talent reached its climax. In 1928-30 Koltsov lived in Paris, where he exhibited his works in " Autumnal Salon ", in the "Society of Independent Artists". Koltsov`s graphic works made in Indian ink, pencil, stain, sepia and sanguine deserve special appraisal. Koltsov`s obvious talent allowed him not to be lost at the beginning of the XXth century, the time of a heyday of Russian fine arts, and not to be forgotten nowadays.
